My girlfriends and I went on Jacqui’s food tour and had a great time. Jacqui told us about the South Philly area, took us to 4 places, and the best place was where we ate pasta and drank wine. Jacqui is so nice and knows a wealth of information on the history of South Philly and the history of Italy. We will definitely book another tour with Jacqui! Highly recommend for a fun night out with a fabulous tour guide…Jacqui!
My husband and I have been visiting Philly for the last 8 years. On this quick getaway we wanted to explore a different neighbor and do something that was less tourist like. I highly recommend the food tour. It was a beautiful day to walk around Passyunk. The food was filling and delicious. (there was no need for dinner after all the tasting we had.) Jacquie was delightful and had lots of stories. We are looking forward to book another tour with Jacquie. :-)
We wanted to try something different on a Saturday evening and decided on this tour. We had never visited this part of Philadelphia and we were not sure what to expect of the location or the food. East Passyunk Ave is such a gem and we will definitely go back! Our food tour guide, Jacquie, was so pleasant and very knowledgeable of the history of the area, the restaurants, and the food. The food was delicious and the ice cream shop at the end was such a treat. We had a great time and we will definitely join her on another food tour!
I’ve lived in this area for 5 years and my wife for 25…this was such a fun and informative tour. We know the food and it was delicious but Jaquie was so entertaining and full of knowledge. Looking for a fun couple of hours, sign up for this tour. Can’t wait to try her other tours next CHEERS!
Chef Jacquie is simply amazing! Her knowledge of the area and love for food is truly broadcasted during this tour. I’ve been to Philly a few times, and nothing tops this experience with Chef Jacquie. You definitely will not be left hungry!
Jacquie was incredible! So knowledgeable about the area and fun to be with. The food was amazing and we left so full! I highly recommend to anyone visiting the area or people like us who are local, but wanted to explore some new spots!
We just had an amazing food tour. We had Jacquie as our tour guide— she was a chef, a historian and the founder of the strEAT food tour company. How great is that?!!! N hi It was like a personal, private tour because of the small group. We began at the Bottle store which has over 600 beers. We sampled popcorn chicken, had a yummy chocolate chip cookie from the bakery across the street, and cider. It was so delicious! But it didn’t stop here! We then walked to the Punk Burger house and had a delicious cheeseburger with its special sauce made with all natural ingredients. And then we went to Noir—a mom and pop Italian restaurant where I had the best arancini on earth, bolognese over homemade pappardelle noodles, bread with an amazing olive oil, and wine. We then went to arctic Scoop for dessert. We had ice cream on a homemade cone with sauce and a topping. The ice cream was homemade and was so creamy. The history of this street is so fascinating as told by our tour guide. She had grown up close to this street and could give us direct information about the neighborhood. I would highly recommend this tour. It is well worth the money!!
My wife and I had a great time on the tour. The food and drink were excellent, and Jacqueline is a great guide who really gives a feel for the neighborhood and the food. She not only gives historical context but also current news. The amount of food was perfect, it was a lot but not overwhelmingly so, definitely go in hungry!
Jacqueline gave my husband and I an excellent tour! You could really tell that she knew the street like the back of her hand. She knew all of the owners and even a few people on the street. She was part of the family, and it was like being shown around by an old friend. We had some truly excellent fried chicken - seriously the best I've had - and some amazing sliders and a really unique bolognese. We would HIGHLY reccomended this tour to anyone visiting Philly, or even any locals looking for some new reccomendations.
