Pick up your bikes, helmet, and locks at Pedego Carlsbad located at 2978 Carlsbad Blvd. Suite 130. (Located in the basement of the large blue Victorian Building on the corner of Carlsbad Blvd.) Â We are located below Sun Diego Retail store in the historic blue building. Â You will receive training and get directions on places you can go on this self-guided tour. Â You have many options. You can stop for a bite to eat, shop, or just enjoy the 3-hour ride. Â You can head south where the bike path is a straight shot for approximately 6 miles and the road parallels the beach. Â Then you will travel through the quaint towns of Leucadia and Encinitas where you will pass funky shops, local cafes, coffee houses and even beautiful Eucalyptus trees planted in the 1880â€™s. Â If time allows take an enchanting stroll through the Self Realization Gardens; featuring streaming brooks, gentle waterfalls, koi ponds where the fish will greet you with warmth, rolling paths with a variety of indigenous plants and breathtaking cliffs.

The electric part had a little getting used to and the bikes were heavier but we quickly got the hang of it. The bikes were powerful going up hill with the electric when we needed it most. Good instructions were given before the trip. We had an awesome time and will do it again! The ocean views were great!

They were very professional instructing us in using the bicycles. Rode from Carlsbad to Encinitas stopping for lunch there. The views were amazing and the electric bike made the ride super easy and fun

My husband and I rented these bikes to cruise the coast in Carlsbad, CA and it was an amazing experience! I was nervous at first because I had never been on an electric bike but within minutes I was comfortable and now I want one!!! The weather was overcast but it was cooling on the face as we biked around. Sooo much fun! John the owner of the bike shop was great at answering all of our questions and when we are ready we will be getting two electric bikes from him. Great quality bikes and beautiful colors to choose from!!! Thank you John!!!

I called ahead the same day to check availability and they held 3 electric bikes for us. They did a great job of explaining the bikes and letting us ride around in the parking lot to make sure we were comfortable. Once we got out on the road and got the hang of them we had such a blast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

The bike was a lot of fun to ride. The person explaining it was very helpful and sweet. I really enjoyed the trail. I would totally recommend this for a 3 hour experience.
