We loved our day with Karina and Sustainable Wine Tours! She was such a great guide - knowledgeable about the region and vineyards and so easy to get along with. We had three very different tasting experiences that really showed us what the region has to offer. We would have never found the places on our own and were so happy to see a variety of wine makers and vineyards. Everything was great and we will definitely try to get back to Santa Barbara to explore the region more and go on another tour!

Booked this tour for my sisters birthday. Karina was our tour guide and she was beyond amazing. She was very knowledgeable and has a great personality that fit right in on our girls trip. I would highly recommend this tour, all wines were amazing had to buy some from every place we stopped it was that good! An absolute must!

Where do we begin! Our first trip to Santa Barbara was a welcome weekend escape capped off by our day with Karina and Sustainable Wine Tours. After some car troubles pushed our tour back 1 day (truly a blessing in disguise as it allowed for a spa day and some beer tasting), we were picked up promptly at our hotel. Karina greeted us with exuberance and proceeded to give us the background and history of Santa Barbara wine county as we made our way to the first stop. We pulled up on the side of a vineyard and met with the winemaker, learning the history of the estate before making our way to a private tasting. The rest of the day was just as good, with stops at a production/storage/packing facility to taste more wine and talk with one of the owners of another small winery. The last stop was in an absolutely beautiful and laid back setting. After more conversation and wine tasting at a 3rd winery/vineyard, we were safely delivered back to our hotel in time for dinner Takeaways: 1. Karina was an excellent tour guide/host. Upon booking, we indicated preferences for lunch and answered a few questions about our background with wine. Sustainable Wine Tours took it from there and curated a perfect itinerary. The private tour option was perfect, especially in the midst of the pandemic. 2. Scott was prompt and decisive when car troubles arose, offering for us to both complete the tour on the scheduled day (albeit later) or reschedule to the following day. 3. The wineries visited were top notch. The wine and conversation were excellent. All tours/tastings were private. 4. We have recommended this to our friends and will plan to book an additional tour upon our return to Santa Barbara.

The guide (Scott) was excellent, and made the trip very enjoyable! The vineyards he selected for us to visit were places we likely would not have found by ourselves, but they were the type of vineyards we would have selected on our own if we knew the area!

Perfect day of wine tasting with clients! Sustainable Wine Tours did an amazing job in understanding what we were looking for and putting together an itinerary that included scenic, educational, and tasteful visits. Frances, our guide, was very knowledgable on Santa Barbara/surrounding areas, personable and really into what she does. It was a magical day and I highly recommend to anyone into wine from novice to expert.

My wife and I really enjoyed the personal touches of the tour. The Sustainable Wine Tour team took the time to analyze our responses to their questions and lined up private tours to wineries that are not available to the public and match our tastes. Karina was a great guide and provided a ton of local information while were driving and at the wineries. We have done a lot of private tours and this was the best tour yet. We highly recommend Sustainable Wine Tours.

We had a perfect day with Frances as our guide. From start to finish, every detail was taken care of. The wineries we visited were wonderful, the picnic lunch was great, and Frances was extremely knowledgeable about all things to do with wine. We highly recommend a day with Sustainable Wine Tours.

We ended up taking the private tour as no one else signed up for the small group tour on the day we wanted. Scott was very responsive and great to work with, also gave us a discount on the private tour price. Frances our guide was well informed and personable. We visited 3 different private wineries where we met with owner/vintner at 2 of the 3 wineries. One of us is a Pinot Noir lover and the other Chardonnay. Disappointing to both of us, we didn’t like any of the wine we tasted well enough to purchase it. All in all Sustainable Wines provided an enjoyable day seeing the beauty and wineries of Santa Ynez area.

Karina far exceeded any and all expectations I had about this tour. Her knowledge and friendly personality made the day so enjoyable. She took us to some amazing vineyards that we would have never found on our own and now we are in 3 Santa Barbara wine clubs. I highly recommend Sustainable Wine Tours. Thanks for a great day out!!
